3x+3 = 0
3x = -3
x= -1

6y+1 = 0
6y= -1
y = -1/6

7(-1)/ 3(-1/6)

the value of 7x/3y is 14

from the given equation,

18y + 3 = 3x+3
18y = 3x
x = 6y

then 7x/3y
= 42y/(3y)
= 42/3
= 14

okay i got it!thanks!!

good question, Olivia, since if 3x+3 = 0 we would have

0/(6y+1) = 3
0 = 3 which would be nonsense.

Jonel was just "lucky" to get the correct answer, since
x = -1 works in the simplified equation x = 6y
but not in the original equation.
