width = 2x+2
length = 4x + 4
2(2x+2)(4x+4) = 216
2(2)(x+1)(4(x+1) = 216
4(x+1)^2 = 54
take √ of both sides
2(x+1) =√54 = 3√6
x+1 = 3√6/2
x = 3√6/2 - 1 = appr 2.67
the pool is 7.35 m by 14.70 m
check:
2(7.35)(14.7) = 216.09 , not bad
