4x + 7 < 11 or 1 ¨C x ¡Ü -2

Please help me solve these compound inequalities. Any instruction would be appreciated.

-10 < -2 + 8x < 22
add 2
-8 < 8x < 24
divide by +8 , (no change in inequality sign)
-1 < x < 3

Can't make out your symbols in the 2nd

e.g. use <= for ≤ and >= for ≥
