Write two equations. Substitute 5 for x in one equation. Substitute 8 for x in the other equation.

what is 6 times 8 minus 80
what is 6 times 5 minus 80

subtract the second amount from the first, I get

6(8-5)

Ok so will it look like this then?

y = 30 + 80
y= 48 + 80

And the answer would be $18?
