first .2*9.45 = 1.89
remaining length = 9.45 - 1.89 = 7.56
so
piece 2 + (piece 2 - .12) = 7.56
2 * piece 2 = 7.68
piece 2 = 3.84
remaining length = 9.45 - 1.89 = 7.56
