subtract 3x+2 from both sides and you have
4x+2 -3x-2 = 3x+9 -3x-2
x = 7
4x+2 -3x-2 = 3x+9 -3x-2
x = 7

4x+2=3x+9
Move 3x to the other side so it will become -3x ( 4x-3x) same with the constant number ( 9-2) . Just combine the constant and the number that has coefficient.
Solution: 4x+2= 3x+9
4x-3x=9-2
X=7
