I am tempted to just say model right off the bat but it depends on the audience and the setting. If it is a big crowd in an auditorium a model might not be very easy to look at from all angles and see inside it. Then photographs or a flip chart might be better. If the opportunity exists for the audience to walk around it and/or in it, then a full scale model or the thing itself might be perfect.
