When is Memorial Day?
It is Jun 6th. (in our country)
It is on June 6th.

Do I have to use 'on' or not?
Are both OK? Then, which one is common?

If I were speaking, I'd say, "It's on June 6th." You don't have to use "on" - you can say it either way.
