one container has 38 gal in it, it fills at 5 gph . the other container has 30 gal in it, it is filling at 7 gph. when will they have the same amount of water in each?

x = 38 + 5 t
y = 30 + 7 t
when does x = y?

38 + 5 t = 30 + 7 t

2 t = 8

t = 4 hours
