Question

(x+4)-5=43

how would you solve that.
because i tried it and i got 28 but 28+4=32 then 32-5 doesnt equal 43.

First add 5 to both sides to get rid of the -5...

(x+4)-5+5=43+5 giving--> x+4=48

Then subtract 4 from both sides...

x+4-4=48-4 giving--> x=44
