Question

Give the pH of a solution containing 0.344 g of HCL in 792 mL of water.

I did .344g/36.5g= .009 mols. then i times that by .792 because i changed that from ml to liters. is that right?

0.344/36.46 = mols
mols/0.792 = Molarity.
molarity is mols/L and not mols x liters. Changing mL to L is proper. You should get pH of about 1.92.
