well, u would need fuel to start fires so, i guess it wont be that one...???
i think its the second one since protecting older/bigger trees take up space
or am i thinking backwards???

I haven't read this article, but doesn't the author want to thin the forest to help prevent forest fires?

People who clear forests seldom worry about which are older and which aren't. Here's a good example:

b! i meant b!!! i think because if u want to make the forest smaller, you wont try to protect BIG trees.....
