My daughter-in-law writes:
It depends on the school and the region. Some go to school on Saturdays and have Wednesdays off. Others have a regular workweek like in the US (Monday through Friday).
They get a lot of holidays and a full summer though. But they have longer hours. School goes till 4:30 or 5 PM, but they also take a two hour lunch.
I don't know how many days per year it is. I think it's less than [in the US]. I think they get by the week, like it's 36 weeks.
How many days do students go to school in France? On which days do they not go to school?
