5040 + .30p = p
p = 5040/.7 = $7200

3 dozens = 36
Markup is 30% of selling price
Original selling price of each camcorder?

100% + 30% = 130%

Change 130% into a decimal, then multiply by 5040

5040 x 1.30 = 6552

Now divide 6552 by 36

6552/36 = 182

Each camcorder cost $182.00

Take the price 5,040 and divide by the compliment of the markup.
$5,040/70% (or .70)=$7,200
Now divide the total ($7,200) by the three dozen (36)
$7,200/36=$200
Each camcorders original selling price was $200!
Hope this helps! :)
