(a) If it takes the bird 18.0 min to travel 6.00 km relative to the earth, what is the velocity of the wind?

d = (Vs-Vw)t = 6000 m.
(10-Vw)1080s = 6000
10800-1080Vw = 6000
1080Vw = 10,800-6000 = 4800
Vw = 4.444 m/s.
