24/(x+1) + 12/(4-x) = 14
Multiply both sides by (4-x)(x+1)
24(4-x) + 12(x+1) = 14(4-x)(x+1)
96 - 12x + 12 = -14(x^2 -3x -4)
= -14x^2 +42 x +56
Combine terms and solve for x.

The rectangle given has a perimeter of 14 units. Find the value(s) of x by factoring a quadriatic equation.
one side= 12/(x+1)
other side= 6/(4-x)
