Can you help me paraphase this?

I set off on a four-mile walk to our forge, pondering as I went along,on all that I had seen, and deeply revolving that I was a common labouring boy, that my hands were course, that my boots were thick, that I had fallen into a despicable habit of calling Knaves Jacks;that I was much more ignorant than I had considered myself last night, and genderaly that I was in a low-lived bad way.

There are several excellent webpages here with instructions about how to paraphrase. Please follow the directions; then post what YOU THINK a paraphrase of that passage is, and someone here will be happy to comment on your work.
