y= -5x + 4 OVER 10 - 5x

find the asymptotes of the function

1 answer

y = (-5x+4)/(10-5x) = (4-5x)/(10-5x)
At x=2 there is a vertical asymptote, since 10-5x=0

As x gets large, y -> 1
since y = (4/x - 5)/(10/x - 5) -> -5/-5 = 1
