The perimeter of a pool is 64 feet and has a width of x and a length of x-4. Write an equation and find both the width and length of the pool.

2x + 2(x-4) = 64
take it from there.

2x+2(x-4)= 64=> 2x + 2x - 8 = 64 => 4x = 72 => x = 72/4 = 18
