                Quad ABCD with diagonal DB. <adc=90, <c=91, <cbd=43. segment ad=segment dc=9.
Which segment is longer ab or ad and why? steve, how are you solving for <abd, what are you assuming about <abc?

we have two angles of triangle DCB
<dbc = 91
<cbd = 43, so
<bdc = 46
That means that
<adb = 44
Hmmm. Now we seem to be at an impasse.
Given what we know, there's no way to determine <abd or <bad. Point A can be anywhere along the line joining A and D.
ab compares to ad the same way that <adb compares to <abd, but there's no way of knowing which is greater.
Am I missing something?
