If a car travelling 48km per hour and is 10 metres behind a car travelling 35km per hour, how much time before it catches up?

35000/3600 = 9.72 m/s
d1 = d + 10
d = 9.72 t
d1 = 13.33 t = d + 10
so
9.72 t + 10 = 13.33 t
