It was in the 1700s, right? It's just that my history book says the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment lasted from 1550-1800. So does that mean they both lasted from 1550 to 1800? Or just that the Scientific Revolution and Enlightenment were in that time period and that the Scientific Revolution came first?

As the Wikipedia article points out, there are no clear-cut dates for the beginning and ending of the Enlightenment.
