Mimie is twelve years older than her brother Macky. Four years from now, Macky will be two-thirds as old as Mimie will be four years from now. How old are they now?

4 years from now:
Macky --- x+4
Mimie --- x + 16

x + 4 = (2/3)(x+16)
times 3
3x + 12 = 2(x+16)
3x + 12 = 2x + 32
x = 20

Now, Macky is 20 and Mimie is 32

4 years from now, Macky will be 24 and Mimie will be 36
Is 24 equal to 2/3 of 36 ??
