I don't get this
Find the equation of the line given the following information:
m=UD, x=-5
And I have to find the equation.
Then it says:
Identify the slope and y intercept from the following equations:
y=8, m=___, b=___
I also have to graph it.
But if it's UD, isn't there no y?
Thanks

m = UD
X = -5
Y = mx + b
Y = UD5 + 0
Y = UD5
Y = 8 is a hor. line.
b = 8 = Y-intercept
m = 0 = The slope of a hor. line.
Use the following points for graphing:
(-4,8)
(-2,8)
(0,8)
(2,8)
(4,8)
Note: Y is constant and does not vary;
it remains at 8 for all values of X.

Correction: x = -5.
Eq: Y = -5UD
Eq: Y = -5UD
