x = x

any value which is on the right matches that on the left. The equation is true regardless of the value of x.

You realize that all those symbols aren't helping anyone...right?
Answered by Miku
Howdy they are variables meaning that it can be any thing for example x × x = x or 2 + x = 8

It does help

Hi guys, I was just curious, does the equation 2 + x = 2 + x have an infinite amount of solutions?
Answered by Consider the coconut!
Yes, 2 + x = x + 2 has a infinite amount, due to x = infinity &/or beyond
Answered by Riley of course
Does x+5=5+x have an infinite amount ?
Answered by 🥰
Yes because of X on both sides
@howdy

ALL THOSE SYMBOLS?😭 YOU MEAN THE X AND THE EQUAL SIGN?? A problem like this is probably for middle schoolers, so youre either super stupid or just very very young.

If we end up with the same term on both sides of the equal sign, such as 4 = 4 or 4x = 4x, then we have infinite solutions. If we end up with different numbers on either side of the equal sign, as in 4 = 5, then we have no solutions

C.O.O.L mathleats your not helping by telling people to stay on topic so either shut the hell up or be useful for once

this is chaotic. Plus what's the point of word problems and stuff like this. I will never get asked in real life what a infinite expression is. 💀
Answered by kuro
i think that when the problem is solved it should equal 0=0 cause that's what my equation equaled, and it makes sense since 0=0 has an infinite number of solutions

Bruh you’re like 13 stop acting grown 😭

how do you not know what a variable is, this far into algebra 💀
Answered by Beemo
its 1/24/22...courses arent closed-?
anyway as long as it has x's on both sides it is good

OwO
As long as when you solve it you end up with something like x = x it has an infinite number of solutions. This is because an infinite amount of numbers would work.

You will have to right something like this 8x+3=3+8x
