Hypotheses generally make predictions about what will happen. The hypothesis isn't always correct, but it's important to make one before you experiment.
Example Hypothesis: More people like cats over dogs in my class.
Here I make a prediction that could be right or wrong. It's a good hypothesis because it's easy to prove correct or incorrect (just ask your friends). It's also specific enough to understand the topic ('cats' and 'dogs' and not 'this' and 'that').
In this case, do you have an predictions about dominant traits? If you don't quite understand dominant traits, I can give you a hint, dominant in this case means it appears more often.
