Original number of students = x
original number playing = x/4
this year:
number of students = x+6
number playing = x/4 + 4
x/4 + 4 = (1/3)(x+6)
times 12
3x + 48 = 4x + 24
-x = -24
x = 24
So now there are x+6 or 30 students in the class
