Ms. Sue saying you HAVE to help me is just an expression. Of course, you don't HAVE to help but to everyone, it's good to help. Students or just people, in general, are afraid or reluctant to ask for help because they feel they will get rejected for such a stupid question or just, in general, getting rejected. That comes from a failer perspective. Like when I ask for help I am doing to the best of my ability to not think how I put no effort into it or how annoying it is for them to help me with such a question, and yes they shouldn't ask an exact question on the exam, test, or quiz but most people learn better by just asking.

And no one should fail (I don't know how to spell the word you wrote)
If this student doesn't know an answer and should know it for the quiz or test or exam then shouldn't it be required to know what if this student failed their grade? What if their parents got divorced? What if the child already failed once and the mother has more power than the dad and the child fails again. That would mean the mother losses all power and the child goes to the dad. That means YOU made that child lose their OWN mother.
