1) what is the efficiency of a frictionless inclined plane?

2) how would you increase the efficiency pf an inclined plane?

1. Crazy question. Then, how are you defining "efficiency"?

Usually, we think of energy when we consider efficiency, but it could be other things (force, speed, ...).

In the case of work or energy, an inclined plane with no losses will be 100 percent efficiency. Which, cannot be increased.

So when you ask questions about theory, you have to bound your terms.

1. 100% efficiency.
2. Efficiency can be increase by using rollers in conjunction with the inclined plane. Wedge. The wedge is an adaptation of the inclined plane. It can be used to raise a heavy load over a short distance or to split a log.
