2. Five types of festivals in Ghana and their respective celebrants are:

a) Homowo festival - celebrated by the Ga people of Accra to mark the end of the farming season and to invoke blessings for a bountiful harvest.

b) Aboakyer festival - celebrated by the people of Winneba to mark the hunting expedition of their ancestors to the Krobo hills for a golden stool.

c) Kundum festival - celebrated by the Ahanta and Nzema people of the Western region to thank the gods for their protection and bountiful harvest.

d) Bakatue festival - celebrated by the people of Ada to mark the end of the fishing season and the beginning of the planting season.

e) Odwira festival - celebrated by the people of Akropong to give thanks to the gods and ancestors for their protection and success in hunting and farming.
