Number 5 is Grammatical, Because of the "such".
ACK! I disagree with Brit. #5 is wrong. It should read:
I study a lot of subjects such as mechanics, ethics, and social studies. The other 4 look fine to me.
I study a lot of subjects such as mechanics, ethics, and social studies. The other 4 look fine to me.
