I suggest we simply form the ratio ...
13200 : 16404
= 1100 : 1367

My challenging question is:
What ratio, with neither term more than 3 digits, comes closest to 1100:1367 ?
i have tried everything, and I honestly don't know
could you help me out here, please?
I gave you the answer to the first part.

For the second part:
distance on the bridge = 13200 ft (that was given)
distance off the bridge = 16404 - 13200
Now just form the ratio and reduce it.
let me know what you get.

(the last part was just my add-on question and you really didn't have to worry about it)
