  1. Text Details - Reasons for Fighting
    Soda: Soda fights to defend his friends and protect them.
    Two-Bit: Two-Bit fights for fun and to show his loyalty to the Greasers.
    Darry: Darry fights to protect his family and show that he’s strong.
    Pony: Pony fights to stand up for his friends and for the Greaser identity.

  2. Evaluate: I think some reasons are valid, like defending loved ones and showing loyalty. But fighting for fun seems less serious and can lead to more problems.

  3. New Character – Paul Holden:
    Paul Holden is a Soc who has a history with Darry. Darry hates him now for two reasons:
    ∙ Paul was involved in the fight that led to Johnny getting hurt.
    ∙ Darry blames Paul for how the Socs treat Greasers.
