2 is a very poor question, and you ought to challenge the question. c is not a synonym, but of all the answers, it is the best of the wrong answers. Old age and senility are not closely related. I am reminded of blonde jokes: blondes are not really stupid, and stupid is not a synonym for blonde. Old age is not a synonym for senile.
Is this another online class?

Bobpursley is, of course, absolutely correct about number 2. Senile and old age are no more synomyms than child and brat are synonyms.
