1. Select 5 modes of transportation from the unit (en tren, en avión, en autobús, en bicicleta, en carro, en moto, en taxi, en metro)

2. For each mode of transportation write 3 sentences. Each sentence is worth 1 point:
Tell me a city, state, or country you went by this mode of transportation in the preterite tense.
Tell me where this city, state or country is located in relation to another city, state, or country using the verb estar in the present tense. (lección 4)
Tell me ONE activity you did while at this location in the preterite tense. You may not use the same activity or verb more than once.

3. Before submitting, please be sure to complete the last part of the portfolio which is to record yourself reading your sentences in Spanish. Instructions on how to do so are located on the template. Create an infographic using the template provided.

4. Include a picture of each mode of transportation.

5. Be sure to include the last step of the portfolio, which is to record yourself reading your sentences. ( Instructions included in template)

1. En tren

  • Sentence 1: Viajé en tren a Madrid, España el invierno pasado.
  • Sentence 2: Madrid está al sureste de Toledo.
  • Sentence 3: Exploré el Museo del Prado mientras estuvo en Madrid.

2. En avión

  • Sentence 1: Volé en avión a Cancún, México en el verano de 2022.
  • Sentence 2: Cancún está al este de Ciudad de México.
  • Sentence 3: Nadé en el océano Caribe cuando estuve en Cancún.

3. En autobús

  • Sentence 1: Tomé un autobús a San Francisco, California el mes pasado.
  • Sentence 2: San Francisco está al norte de Los Ángeles.
  • Sentence 3: Visité el puente Golden Gate durante mi visita a San Francisco.

4. En bicicleta

  • Sentence 1: Monté en bicicleta por el Parque de la 93 en Bogotá, Colombia el fin de semana pasado.
  • Sentence 2: Bogotá está al norte de Medellín.
  • Sentence 3: Disfruté de un picnic en el parque mientras estuve en Bogotá.

5. En taxi

  • Sentence 1: Tomé un taxi a Nueva York, Estados Unidos el año pasado.
  • Sentence 2: Nueva York está al noreste de Washington D.C.
  • Sentence 3: Vi un espectáculo en Broadway mientras estuve en Nueva York.

Steps to Complete Your Portfolio:

  1. Create an Infographic: Use the template provided and include the sentences above along with relevant images for each mode of transportation (train, plane, bus, bicycle, taxi).
  2. Pictures: Be sure to find suitable pictures of the modes of transportation.
