Strictly speaking, 1 and 3 mean the same thing, but 2 is almost identical, too. The only word omitted in 2 is the second instance of "very."
I'd say all three mean the same thing.
1. My classmates are very funny and kind.
2. My classmates are very funny and they are kind.
3. My classmates are very funny and they are very kind.
