1.) If you use the parent graph y=sqaureroot of x as a reference, how would you graph y=sqaureroot of x+2+5?

a.) Move the parent graph two units to the right and then up five units.
b.) Move the parent graph two units to the left and then up five units.
c.) Move the parent graph two units to the right and then down five units.
d.) Move the parent graph two units to the left and then down five units.
e.) None of these.

2.) If you use parent graph y=x^2 as a reference, how would you graph y=-x^2-3?

a.) Reflect the parent graph over the y-axis and then move the graph to the left three units.
b.) Reflect the parent graph over the x-axis and then move the graph down three units.
c.) None of these.
d.) Reflect the parent graph over the x-axis and then move the graph up three units.
e.) Reflect the parent graph over the y-axis and then move the graph down three units.

I assume you mean √(x+2) + 5
That would be √x shifted left 2 and up 5
So, (b)

x^2
-x^2 is flipped upside-down
-x^2-3 is then shifted down 3
So, (b) again
