1.

Given a scale factor of 2, find the coordinates for the dilation of the line segment with endpoints (–1, 2) and (3, –3).

(2, 4) and (6, 6)
(2, 4) and (6, 6)
(–2, 4) and (6, –6)
(2, –1) and (–3, 3)

2.
Given a scale factor of one-half , find the coordinates for the dilation of the triangle with vertices at (0, 0), (0, 2), and (4, 0).

(0, 0), (0, 4), (8, 0)
(0, 0), (0, 1), (2, 0)
(one-half,one-half), (one-half, 1), (2, one-half)
(2, 2), (2, 4), (8, 2)

3.

The dashed figure is a dilation of the original figure. Find the scale factor. Classify the dilation as an enlargement or a reduction.

dashed figure dilation

2, enlargement
one-third , reduction
one-half , reduction
3, enlargement

4.
What is the scale factor in the following dilation? The red triangle is the pre-image.

@Polar bear club,
You shouldn't even be relying on a website to pass your courses. This website can help you, but relying on this website alone for answers is going to bite you right in the butt sooner or later. Also, you can't blame the students here for your failures, the only person you have to blame for that is yourself.

(Yes, I'm aware this was in March, but I still wanted to write something down because sjshfjssghsjdhs-)
Also, if you're taking the Dilations lesson quick check on Connections Academy, the answers are:

I thought you all were lying at first but they were right. Do not listen to the people on the top of the page.
Given that points C and D have been dilated from center O with scale factor 2, what two properties do CD and C’D’ have according to the Fundamental Theorem of Similarity?
thanks guys even though a lot of you were giving wrong answers
All of you are wrong, who the hell thinks (2 x 0.4 = 4.5)
The first answer is:
C, because -2 x 2 is -4, 3 x 2 is 6 and so on.
The second answer is B, all you have to do is half the actual numbers, 2 = 1, 4 = 2.
The third answer is A, thats because 2 x 2.25 is 4.5. All the others are either two small or two big.
The fourth answer is C.

If you follow this, you’ll get 100% on your quick check.
