1. Find the sum of the first five terms of the sequence 2/3, 2, 6, 18, .....

2. Is this a geometric sequence? 2x, (4x-2), (6x-4), .....

3. Show the equivalent values of the decimal 0.7575757575..... in fraction form.

4. What is the sum of the geometric sequence 4/3, 2/3, 1/3, 1/6, .....

1. looks like a GS, were a = 2/3, and r = 3
sum(5) = a(r^5 - 1)/(r-1)
= (2/3)(3^5 -1)/2
= .....

2. nope, (4x-2)/(2x) ≠ (6x-4)/(4x-2) for all values of x
it would be true or only x = 1

3. 0.7575757575... = .75 + .0075 + .000075 + ...
a GS where a = .75, r = .01
sum(allterms) = a(1-r)
= .75/.99
= 75/99 = 25/33
check by dividing 25 by 33 on your calculator

4. you try this one, I gave you the formula
