I think #1 is D because "were" is for multiple entities, which are mountains in this case.
I think #2 is C.

Those last two are tricky, I think. Our inclination is to let "one" be the subject in each case, but "that" is physically closer to the word it's referring to (games, figures), and those antecedents determine whether "that" is singular or plural.
