I disagree with your answer to # 1. An anecdotal record's purpose is not to write down "everything a child says or does." This site explains anecdotal records, but it emphasizes that these notes are brief descriptions of a few moments in a child's day.

you (B)how long a behavior lasts?
I am kind of confused on question 1 because I am thinking B or D could both
be an appropriate answer. Which would be the best?
Anecdotal records may tell how long a behavior has been observed. However, my choice for this number 1 is D -- because these notes are brief and easy to write. The observer jots a few words down at the time of the observation, rather than waiting perhaps hours to type this information.
