7 = 7
6 = 2*3
so least common multiple is
8*7*3 = 168
1/8 = 21/168
6/7 = 24/168
1/6 = 28/168
so
(21+24+28)/168

To add fractions you need a common denominator.
like
1/3 + 1/2 = 2/6 +3/6 = 5/6

just like 2 pumpkins + 3 pumpkins = 5 pumpkins
2(1/6) + 3(1/6) = 5/6
but
2 apples + 3 pumpkins is just that :)
