A somewhat confusing question.
since it is sold at $8.50 per yard, to obtain square yards, the material, or whatever it is, has to be 1 yard wide as well.
So really all we want to know what 80 yards is in metres.
1.1 yards = 1 m
1 yd = 1/1.2 m
80 yds = 80(1/1.1) = 72.72 metres
