Operations should be performed in order PEMDAS: Parenthesis - Exponent - Multiplication - Division - Addition - Subtraction.
But Multiplication and Division operations can be performed from left to right, no need to perform multiplication first then division. That is also applicable in Addition and Subtraction operations.
There are certain rules, and I suggest you read them.
In the first problem, 0.1 + 2 × 2.4 ÷ 0.2 - 0.7
We can do multiply & divide first: 2 × 2.4 ÷ 0.2 = 24
Rewriting, 0.1 + 24 - 0.7 , and this is equal to 23.4
