Independent events are when the outcome of one event doesn't affect the other event. For example, if you flip a coin and roll a dice, the result of the coin doesn't change how the dice will land. Dependent events, on the other hand, are when the outcome of one event does affect the other event. For example, if you have a bag of 5 red balls and 5 blue balls and you take out one ball without putting it back, the next ball you take out depends on which color you took first. So if you took out a red ball and didn't put it back, there will be less red balls in the bag for the next draw!
