KN is the distance from K to N -- that is, the difference N-K
KN = 3-0
IK = 0-(-2)
3+2 = 5
or,
IK+KN = IN = 3-(-2) = 5
KN = 3-0
IK = 0-(-2)
3+2 = 5
or,
IK+KN = IN = 3-(-2) = 5
